Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan. Cover with cold water by 2cm. Add salt.
Bring to a full boil over medium-high heat. Remove from heat immediately, cover, and let sit 10–12 minutes.
Transfer to an ice bath for 5 minutes — this stops cooking and makes peeling easy.
Peel immediately or store unpeeled in the fridge up to a week. Peeled eggs last 5 days in water in a sealed container.
